Chairs game

Once Room 8  went outdoors to play a chair game but we did not take any chairs outdoors.There is one chaser and one runner. The chaser has to try and tag the runner  and if the chaser gets the person in the circle the whole team is out then we change over with the other team.

Tittle: 
I was so tired

On Friday we went to the Glen Innes school hall and started decorating  for the wedding all night until 4:00am. We were all tired we went  back home and my mum and my aunty was cooking the food for the catering. I got shocked because they weren't tired at all they were just cooking all day long!!!!!!


Firstly, the bridesmaids and the best man  had to walk in  before the bride and groom walked in, it was romantic because they danced on the way in . There was music, the music was a dj song but a romantic dj song . They were dancing until they got to the stage.In addition, they were such a cute couple! I was so happy for my cousin in law  because it was a such a   beautiful wedding


Secondly, the father of Glen Innes church  was saying a prayer before eating the food. We ate pig,curry,potato salad,crab salad and pasta and tuna. There was 4 tables 2 on the left 2 on the right. The first table to start getting the to eat was the first 2 tables on the right  they had to line up it was a long line we had to wait until they had to finish.

After we ate the food we had desert it was DELICIOUS because there was lots of sweets to eat. I could get everything it just look yum 1 minute later the line was even longer!!! “I shouted I CAN’T WAIT THAT LONG NONONO!!!!!”


In conclusion ,we all cleaned the hall and cleaned the kitchen and  packed everything into the vehicles and equally shared the food and went home
I felt happy at the special wedding 💜

Flag Football

On Monday afternoon we went to Kiwisport to learn Flag Football
with two coaches, who  explained how to put our fingers
on the football. We also had to learn how to aim straight to
the person you want to throw too. You also had to get ready
and make a diamond shape to catch the football.

Chatterbox

Introduction Wow chatter box!

On Wednesday morning Room 8 sat on the mat. When Ms Bracey gave us a ripped paper of magazine to the students and I got shocked. After we got the magazine paper we had to use our listening skills to make a chatterbox. 

Firstly , Ms Bracey handed out the magazine paper and gave us scissors to cut the corners of the magazine paper.

Secondly , we had to listen to the instructions to make a chatterbox We folded it into four triangles it formed into a diamond we folded it again it formed into a square.

Lastly Yay! We completed creating chatterboxes! We played with it all day some of us played with it so much that we got distracted from our learning and got it taken of us.

Puffy, magic snow is amazing! Wednesday morning Room 8 was ma an experience about magic snow.

The students in Room 8 was shocked because they thought it was real snow.

Firstly, the packet of magic snow was hard and we had to shake and wiggle the packet of magic snow.It felt really hard like hard clay.

Secondly,Once we cut the packet of magic snow we poured it into the plastic cup and add half a cup of cold water from the sink at the side of the classroom.

Finally, I felt excited and I got shocked when we add half a cup of cold water it rose like a cupcake in the oven!

Boxing

Today Room 8 went boxing in the hall
learning how to do skills like rock,hooks,jab,
uppercut,and move steps.

It was fun to learn all of these new skills.

Day and night

An important fact that day and night is different because day is the brightness and night is the darkness.

Next the most important fact is the most problem is that there problems people think that night is morning and  morning is night.

Later there were no more problems with day and night in earth.

We did a science experiment about primary colors turning into secondary colors.

Firstly, the science experiment hade strips of long paper to make the colors blend together to make secondary colors.

Secondly the colors were pulu (blue),engeeenga (yellow), kulokula and  (red)  they have  made a blended of secondary color.   

In conclusion we have to peek or observe the information about the primary colors.

My group solved a problem  about time. We presented our maths problem to the class. I found that the maths was hard.

In the planetarium

Secondly there are huge amounts of comfortable chairs in the planetarium. In the in the planetarium it is like being in a dark globe. Also you can see 3d robot movie,constellations and planets.

Senitila-Benghazi and TPS

Benghazi: There were NZ soldiers who were on the  ship called Nino Bixio that was traveling across the ocean and under the British submarine that was going to have a war with mine bombs in the ocean.

Benghazi and T.P.S 

The government named the street Benghazi for   kids.
They named it so we can remember there was a siege with Benghazi.

Senitila First Panmure Bridge

We went down to the yacht club to view the site of the old demolished,unsafe swing bridge. Farmers use to go over the Panmure Bridge to the field to walk around.

Hemi was the first man to travel around selling fruit,vegetables. He used to take animals like cows on the punt across the river to Australia to sell.

Sadly two weeks ago there was a collapsing bridge that broke on passing cars.Once a student crossed the eight lane highway and got seriously injured  by walking across the eight lane  highway.There were emergency vehicles that came to rescue the people who were injured under the footbridge. They were trying to get the people out from under of the footbridge.

At Mokoia Pa I have made a house that Maori people use to live on top of the steep hill.In my scraffito I have sketched Mokoia Pa. I have ten wooden houses so more people can live in.

I have learned how to create a scraffito.

Malo e lelei and greetings to all. My name is Senitila.  I am in Year 6 .I go to Tamaki Primary and I have one cousin at school her name is Christine.

Talofa,Malo e lelei, Fakalofa lahi atu. I’m kind of good at maths. When I started school here, it was embarrassing and I got so nervous seeing everyone so new here.

I’m looking forward to going on fun school trips. I would love to learn about lots of maths,reading,writing at school everyday with our best teacher Mrs Bracey.
